Scott Leslie, of Rutland, MA, and Johnston's Megan Jaswell took top honors during Sunday's Amica Marathon in Newport, The Providence Journal reports.
Leslie finished in 2 hours and 41 minutes, while Jaswell clocked a 3:05:39 time. The marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
Nearly 5,000 runners were estimated to have run in the fifth annual marathon. The weekend of road races kicked off with a 5K on Saturday, followed by the Amica Marathon and United Healthcare Half Marathon on Sunday.
