Tenant Still Missing Days After Prudence Island House Fire
The location of a man, who rented a house destroyed by fire on Prudence Island Tuesday, is still unknown.
The whereabouts of a man, who rented a Prudence Island house completely demolished in a fire Tuesday, is still unknown, reports The Sakonnet Times Friday afternoon.
On Tuesday morning, Portsmouth fire crews battled a fast-moving house fire at 0151 Concord Ave. on Prudence Island. The blaze completely destroyed the single-family home on Concord Avenue, located near the west side of the island.
Officials later announced a search for the house's tenant, Shannon Cubellis. Police were back on scene investigating on Thursday, but have not located the tenant, according to The Sakonnet Times.
Officials also discovered a body in the remains of a house fire. The identity of the victim has not been released.

This article is very shocking, confusing and disturbing...... As written, it suggests that Shannon Cubellis is possibly still alive, and on the run and could not be the body that was found....... His friends and family here on Prudence are in deep grief and are having a memorial service for him tomorrow. We are assuming that the body found is that of Shannon, and for the sake of everyone who is grieving him, please correct this article if it possibly should have said that the body found has not yet been positively identified as that of Shannon. Thank you.

I agree, this should have never been published as written. I have commented about the location and the answer was that another source used the wrong location (so I guess it is ok then?). I'm confused as to the purpose of Patch. I'm confused why good news - i.e. Chris Cosentino won Top Chef Masters this week, he grew up off of Water street and is a PHS graduate - not a word was written about him. Very Strange reporting.

It's local news not news about some guy on TV in San Francisco.

So the fact that he grew up in Portsmouth does not mean it is local news? I'm confused but so are many on this site.

Hi Kathleen. Thank-you for your comment and feedback. I apologize if you believed the article was suggesting any identification. The body found has not been positively identified as that of Shannon or anyone else. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for Shannon's family and friends. Please know, if there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to contact me either here or at Sandy@Patch.com.
