Was Hurricane Sandy a let down for storm lovers?
Despite more than 2,000 Portsmouth residents still without power Tuesday and Newport areas still flooded, some residents used social media to complain about how Hurricane Sandy let them down.
One Brown University student even told a NBC 10 reporter he was not convinced the storm was a hurricane.
Here's what a few local residents also had to say on Facebook and Twitter:
©leopatra @LareenSki_xo: Sandy was a joke
Jacki Almeida: I guess it's better to be precautions than not prepared. They could have predicted the storm path wrong for all we know and it could've come right towards us. We drove around in it though, to see the water and stuff. Just a mess of branches and trees!
Ann Cummings: I don't think it was hype at all - I think we got lucky here with the way the storm turned and changed. Happy we aren't like some of the pictures the news is showing in many other areas south of us.
Leslie Costic: Always better to be prepared and informed.
