Readers' Choice: Best Sandwich in Portsmouth
What's your favorite place to grab one in Portsmouth?
A sandwich is a quick-and-easy meal, and on most menus, it's the most reliable pick when you're not sure about the other food. It's also usually the cheapest thing you can order.
But as easy as it is to make a great sandwich, only a few places offer a truly awe-inspiring sandwich. You know, the one that you can't help but order even when you know there are more sophisticated dishes on the menu.
This week, we want to know: Which restaurant or deli serves up the best sandwich in Portsmouth?
Is it Subway, Steve's Famous Pizza, Cindy's Country Cafe, Custom House Coffee, West Main Pizza or The North End Pizzeria? Or, maybe it's Boss Man Burgers, Carmella's Pizzeria, Fieldstones Grille, Melville Grille, Graziano's 501 Cafe, Rocco's Little Italy or Reidy's Family Restaurant?

Any sandwich in Portsmouth would be fine with me! I miss Portsmouth and the east coast! Something chourico would win my vote. No chourico in CA. : (

Having no chourico is sad!! :( I feel for you. I recently tried Al Fresco's buffalo chicken sausage and at times, the taste reminded me of chourico. There is no substitute for the real thing, but it may satisfy you a little bit.

Green Grocer has DELICIOUS sandwich options! Their frig is stocked and ready which nutricious option that taste great too --- plus they have gluten free sandwiches for those who need that option. Also their naanwiches are fantastic! The South Indian Potato naanwich is my favorite!

I think she was asking 'grad' where she used to frequent for chorico sandwiches before she/he moved to CA.
GG does have excellent healthy and vegan options but if you're looking to cheat Carmella's steak bomb can't be beat!

The Green Grocer has AMAZING sandwiches, the best wraps on the Island, and you don't feel ill after eating them due to the organic and pure ingredients!!! I would love to see them do made to order, not sure if thats possible. and the muffins? don't even get me started. PHENOMANOL!
