Random Act of Kindness Hits Portsmouth
This Random Act of Kindness #13 was found on a car windshield in Portsmouth on Thursday.
Have you received a Random Act of Kindness on your car windshield lately?
I was surprised (and extremely moved) to find the above note, along with a $5 gift card, on my car windshield Thursday afternoon in the Custom House Coffee parking lot.
The note was inside an envelope simply marked "Random Act of Kindness #13." Only the names "Nicole, Keith & Blake" were written on the card.
As you can see above, the Random Acts of Kindness are being distributed throughout the country in honor of the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School. This act is specifically performed in honor of the late Chase Kowalski, age 6.
I want to personally thank this person or persons for this random act. It absolutely put a smile on my face, brightened my day and inspired me to pay it forward.

I was ordering a hot beverage and a donut from Dunkin Donuts one Saturday afternoon, and the woman in front of me offered to pay for my order. She handed the cashier a $10 bill and I tried to explain that she was paying for the wrong order and that I would give money to pay. The woman in front of my insisted and handed the money to the cashier who rang up my order and handed her back the change. I thanked her profusely and after speaking with the cashier casually she mentioned how there were other acts of kindness at their store. The week before a man came in and ordered 26 medium coffees therefore making the next 26 medium coffees already paid for and "free" for those who ordered it. That random act of kindness brightened my day and I look forward to passing it forward.

Mcdonalds has any size coffee for $1.00. When I order a large, that's an act of kindness from McDonalds since a large anywhere else is more than a $1.00. So, corporations continue to show us acts of kindness even though it may not seem like it.

I work at a Dunkin Donuts in Portsmouth and have seen a lot of random acts of kindness lately. At least once a week i have come across a person in the drive thru that offers to pay for the person's order behind them. One morning we had about 8 cars in a row do it. There are a few good people out there.
