Portsmouth Police Log: 5 Arrests in 3 Days

The following arrest information was supplied by the Portsmouth Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Portsmouth Police made the following arrests in the past three days.

  • Jordan McDonald, 21, of Providence, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, and charged with violation of a no contact order; domestic larceny; and obstruction of an officer in the execution of duty. The arrest stems from an incident on July 9, when police were called to Car Point off Burma Road for a report of a larceny. A 20-year-old Providence woman told police that she and McDonald became involved in an argument. During the argument, McDonald allegedly stole $110 in cash and her iPod. He was later seen in the area of Burma Road, but fled the scene on foot after an officer apparently ordered him to stop. Warwick police later arrested McDonald on a warrant.
  • Anthony Lucci, 44, of 68 Oliver Hazzard Perry Road, Portsmouth, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, and charged with attempted larceny over $500. According to police, Lucci apparently entered BankNewport on Friday, Sept. 23, and allegedly attempted to cash a $3,000 check stolen from a Tiverton business. Lucci left the bank as officials were examining the check. He was later called in for question and arrested at the police station.
  • Robert Perry, 50, of 2368 East Main Road, Apt. C8, Portsmouth, was arrested at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, and charged with disorderly conduct. The arrest stems from an incident on Sept. 24, when Perry allegedly became involved in an argument with a 57-year-old Portsmouth man. Perry allegedly threatened the man. Police obtained a warrant for Perry.
  • Alyssa Martin, 20, of Tiverton, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, and charged with domestic simple assault, and domestic vandalism. Police were called to Chase Road for a report of a domestic disturbance outside a parked vehicle. Martin allegedly became involved in an argument with her boyfriend, a 20-year-old Portsmouth man. During the argument, Martin allegedly kicked the vehicle's side mirror, knocking it off, and struck the man in the face with her fist. Martin was later arraigned before a justice of the peace and released.
  • Cynthia White, 46, of Swansea, MA, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police were called to the area of West Main Road and Hedly Street early Wednesday for a report of an erratic driver. Police stopped a vehicle, operated by White, and say they smelled a strong aroma of alcohol from the vehicle. White apparently failed a field sobriety test and, after being transported to the police station, allegedly refused to submit to a chemical test. She was placed into custody at the station.
