Portsmouth High School will hold its graduation ceremony on John F. Kennedy Field at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 8. Two hundred and fifty members of the senior class will receive diplomas.

Jeffrey Schoonover, who recently moved from his position as science department chairman to director of curriculum and instruction for the district, will deliver the keynote address.

Portsmouth High School has a tradition of selecting two student speakers to address the gathering at graduation.

Haley McClintock was selected by the faculty for her scholarship, integrity and commitment to excellence. She will attend Brown University in the fall.

Samuel Gorton was selected by his classmates as one who represents the spirit of the class. He will attend the University of Rhode Island.
