A Portsmouth High School graduate received more honors from Hollywood this week when she was nominated for an Oscar. 

Deb Adair, a 1984 Portsmouth High School graduate, was nominated Tuesday for an Oscar in the category of "Sound Mixing" for her work in the 2011 film "Moneyball," starring Brad Pitt and directed by Bennett Miller. 

Other films nominated in the same category are "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," "Hugo," "Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon" and  "War Horse." 

This is not the first Hollywood nomination for the 45-year-old re-recording mixer for Sony Pictures. 

Adair, also a graduate of Syracuse University, won an Emmy in both 1995 and 1996 for her work on Disney's "Aladdin" and an Emmy in 1997 for her work on Disney's "The Lion King."

During her more than 18-year career, she received seven Emmy nominations for her work on several, well-know TV shows and movies, including "Bobby's World," "The Tick" and "101 Dalmatians." Her voice also appeared in the movie "South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut."

The Oscars will be awarded during the 84th Academy Awards, which will air live Sunday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. on ABC.
