Portsmouth DPW to Pick Up Hurricane Sandy Debris
Have a branch in your yard? The DPW can pick it up.
Portsmouth officials have announced that town workers will pick up storm debris from Hurricane Sandy.
Residents are urged to place branches directly related to Hurricane Sandy (no larger than 8 inches in diameter) curbside for collection by Public Works.
Residents are also advised not to bundle or cut branches, unless necessary to put curbside. The deadline to have branches placed curbside will be Nov. 7.
The transfer station will be open for residents that live on private or state roads, and have a valid sticker. Materials too large to fit in a 55-gallon container, must be cut to no more than three foot in length and bundled with twine for proper disposal.
If you have any questions, call Public Works at 683-0362.
