PHOTOS: Portsmouth Democrats Gather, Discuss Town Government
The Portsmouth Democrat held a forum Thursday night at Food Works.
The Portsmouth Democratic Town Committee held open forum to discuss town government issues Thursday night at Food Works.
"People around town are telling us that they are concerned -- and sometimes shocked -- by some of the decisions made by the current Council and School Committee leaders and the way they are conducting our town's business," said Town Committee Chair, Len Katzman, in a press release before the event. "The Democratic Town Committee is asking all who are concerned about our local government to come to this forum and join the conversation."
More than a dozen people attended the forum. Featured above are photos from the event.

This is like and AARP convention. Let's find a way to get some young folk in there. I suggest putting a fire ax to all of the useless sub-committes and then recreating the one's we actually need led by folks with credentials for each interest.

You confuse me, East side. You claim to support young folks, but when they actually show some political interest, you call them "deer ticks," a "disgrace to America," and require that they be "land owners" to have an opinion. Look at the comments on all the Occupy Portsmouth posts on this site and tell me if you would want to wade into that cesspool.
