More than a foot and a half of snow is expected to fall on Portsmouth by late Wednesday with several inches already on the ground.
Local residents wasted no time Wednesday getting to work shoveling the snow off walks, steps and driveways. While residents were hard at work, the snow continued to fall and block out local landmarks, including one tall tower.
