PHOTO: Bridge Tolls Becomes Election Issue for Protesters
Protesters were seen Wednesday evening at Turnpike Avenue and East Main Road.
If it hasn't already, proposed bridge tolls become an election issue for a couple of protesters Wednesday evening.
About three protesters held up Mitt Romney campaign signs, as well as signs reading "No Tolls on Bridge," at the corner of East Main Road and Turnpike Avenue Wednesday evening.
This is the second time in recent weeks protesters have rallied at the corner.
This small rally also follows petitions circulating throughout Aquidneck Island and Tiverton to protest plans for tolls on the new Sakonnet River Bridge.
