More Fog Expected for Wednesday Night, Thursday

The National Weather Service says more patchy fog is expected for later tonight and tomorrow.

Did the dense fog Wednesday impact your morning commute? If it did, you weren't alone.

A few users had this to say about the fog on the Portsmouth Patch Facebook page

Prudence Island was invisible until just a little while ago! — Donna Nathlar Barone (Posted at noon on Wednesday)

Yes very thick! I could barely see the stop lights while driving into work this morning!! — Jennie Nestlerode

Yes, yes I did. Had to put my fog lights on while driving. — Carol Drew Brierley

The National Weather Service says residents should expect more fog later tonight and on Thursday.

Patchy fog is expected after 7 p.m. tonight with a southeast wind between 3 and 7 mph. More patchy fog is expected Thursday with showers, along with a possible thunderstorm after 5 p.m.

Some of the storms Thursday night could produce heavy rainfall.

Veterans Day forecast

Outdoor Veterans Day ceremonies may also be a little wet before 9 a.m. Friday.

A chance of showers is predicted for the morning, while the sun should peak out for the remainder of the day with a high near 53.
