Monday: Town Council Meets; Daffodil Days are Coming

Here are five things you should know today in Portsmouth.

 

 

  1. Today's weather should be sunny with a high near 37, but it will be windy, says the National Weather Service..
  2. The Portsmouth Town Council meets at 6:30 pm, and the Open Space Committee meets at 6 pm.
  3. There is no school in Portsmouth on Friday, Feb. 17, due to a PHS professional development day and elementary school conferences.
  4. Here's a welcome sign of spring: The American Cancer Society is accepting daffodil orders through March 2 as part of its Daffodil Days campaign.  Delivery will take place March 19; and there are several products available. See tlhe American Cancer Society Web site for information.

  6. The Senior Center is holding a Valentine's Dinner Dance this Saturday night, with dinner at 6 p.m. and dancing starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 but you must make reservations ahead of time!  Call 683-4106; no tickets will be sold at the door.

There is no school on Friday, Feb. 17. Thank-you for pointing this out! I will update the article to reflect this change.
