Hurricane Sandy Knocks Out Power In Portsmouth

Where is there power? Find out below!

 

The National Grid Power Outage map shows only a handful of outages, but several Portsmouth residents have told us they are without power due to fallen trees and branches. 

Thousands are without electricity throughout the state of Rhode Island. Earlier this afternoon, a third of Newport was without power. 

If you have an elderly neighbor, please check on them throughout the night. 

Here's where residents in Portsmouth are reporting outages: 

Laurie Davidson Spaner: Yes. Schoolhouse Ln.

Chris Pierce Farley: McCorrie is out

Amy Chamard: Bramans lane area

Carol Drew Brierley: No power in southern Portsmouth.West Main rd area near Middletown line.

Chris Reilly: McCorrie and Fairview are both out. Same with lights on east main between McCorrie & union st and west main @ union st.

Nancy Eddy Rutter: No power in CFP

Paula Wallace: No power Redwood Rd! :(

Lisa Rochette Moore: Union Street

Lucy Lu Escobar Breeden: Jepson lane no power

William Green: Woodland Dr off East Main Rd. is without power

Judy Hestnes Oakland farm
