How Much Are You Paying for Gas?

With gas prices on the rise again, we want to know how much you are spending on weekly fuel.

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island being up 10 cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England, and we want to know how much you are spending weekly on gas.

AAA’s Sept. 17 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.98per gallon, 10 cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 17 cents over the last month.

The current price is 12 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.86. A year ago at this time, Rhode Island’s average price was $3.72.

We asked users on Portsmouth Patch's Facebook page about their week's gas costs. Here's what they had to say when we asked, "How much are you paying per week for gas?"

Leslie Costic: too much!

Donna Nathlar Barone: I fill my tank for about $80. If I stay on the island it lasts me a month.

Priscilla Anne Smyth Thayer: I just filled my tank & paid $50 for 14 gallons of 89 at Tedechi's on the Tiverton/Fall River line. Crazy!

Paul Oliveira: About $95
