Former Rep. Patrick Kennedy Sells Portsmouth House
The former Congressman's nearly $1.3 million property has sold for less than its value, according to town records.
New residents will soon live in a house once belonging to a Kennedy.
Former Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy has sold his 2001-built Portsmouth house, according to town records.
The property sold on Thursday for $1,150,000 to James M. and Sheila M. Powell of Middletown.
Kennedy, who married a New Jersey school teacher in 2011, put the two-story house at 210 Farmlands Drive on the market in January.
The Portsmouth home was assessed at a value of $598,400 in 2011, according to its Vision Appraisal listing. The total property, including the house and land, was valued at $1,292,400 in January.
