While some businesses in Portsmouth have been around for "as long as you can remember," some have closed their doors, either due to poor economic times or simply moving to a new location.

It's been more than a month since one of the last video stores in Rhode Island closed up shop for good. Briggs Video closed in late October after not being able to compete with such new video service outlets such as Netflix and Redbox. 

The empty storefront has remained vacant ever since.
