Check Out the Best “Decked” House in Portsmouth

You voted and this house was the top local vote-getter in our Deck the House contest.

Who has the best “decked” house in Portsmouth?

According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this home has the best holiday lights in Portsmouth.

We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors.

We loved showcasing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. We’re still looking for the one home so spectacularly decorated that it could be the national grand prize winner of our contest.

We will choose 24 finalists from all our entries across the country. From Dec. 18- Dec. 27, vote for your favorite and that person could win $100,000 for his or her local school district.

All you have to do is visit this page to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote beginning Dec. 18. On Dec. 28, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest.

So, now’s your chance to tell us who has the best “decked” house in the country. Let us know by voting for your favorite beginning Dec. 18.

Thanks to all that voted for us! Unfortunately we didn't make the cut down to the 24 finalists, but we always have fun doing it every year.

In this time of need you old think that the winner plus any other contestants would have not this wasteful act of electricity. While kids and families are sitting the dark freezing the wealthy few gorge on the town electricity basically saying 'look at me I just burn money when I want' Disgusting. Maybe they should have donated the money spent to families that can't turn on even one light bulb

Every year I am so proud of the spirit that is shown by you and almost everyone on our street. I am proud of our Christmas spirit and I hope the lights show up to heaven!

Wow, can you say Bah Humbug any louder?? This is the time of year when the holiday lights add cheer and happiness to many people...wealthy or not. It's also the time when giving to the those is need is most important and I can almost guarantee that those people with their tremendous light displays do that as well.

Thanks, We are located on Dorothy Ave. We do have then set to music as well, but only used a still picture for the contest. I usually turn them on around 4:30 or so.

All of our street, Dorothy Ave, is pretty much lit up after 5:30! All our neighbors have great holiday spirit and they show it as well!
