3 Portsmouth Residents To Attend GOP Convention

These Portsmouth residents will head to the Republican National Convention next week!

Portsmouth residents John Robitaille, Lynda Adams-Robitaille and state Rep. Daniel Reilly are likely packing their bags this week to prepare for the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL, next week.

That's if a certain tropical storm doesn't change things.

But just who are these delegates heading to the Republican National Convention? Here's a short bio about Portsmouth's delegates.

John Robitaille and Lynda Adams-Robitaille

John Robitaille is no stranger to politics after coming in second place in the 2010 gubernatorial election against Lincoln Chafee. The Republican managed to grab hold of 33.6 percent of the vote.

Robitaille, who formerly served as Gov. Donald L. Carcieri's senior communications adviser, has lived in Portsmouth with his wife for 16 years. In 2011, he accepted a position with Johnson and Wales University

Lynda Adams-Robitaille, along with her husband, John Robitaille, ran a small communications firm in Middletown for 20 years.

State Rep. Daniel Reilly

Rep. Dan P. Reilly (Republican, Dist. 72 - Middletown, Newport and Portsmouth) is not the ordinary new college graduate. This spring, Reilly not only graduated from Providence College with a bachelor's degree in general studies, but he also announced his plans to run for a second term.

Reilly serves on six committees. The 23-year-old Portsmouth resident will attend Roger Williams Law School in the fall.

When Reilly is not in the classroom or at the State House, he also serves as a volunteer EMT on the Bristol Fire Department.

Bring good rain gear folks and I don't mean just for the storm that may or may not give Tampa a glancing blow... what I mean is there is a very real danger with leftist anarchists (Occupy Wall Street, Code Pink, etc.) funded by uber-Marxist Billionaire George Soros who have been organizing and preparing to decend upon Tampa to create havoc and disrupt the GOP convention.

These at evil people and the White House should repudiate them... but they won't. For all we know, they may even be helping to direct them. So folks, keep your rain coats handy, your wits about you and stay safe!

Read this! Former GOP Gov. Crist endorses Obama. He points out the problem with the Repubs: "Their party has pitched so far to the extreme right on issues important to women, immigrants, seniors and students that they've proven incapable of governing for the people. Look no further than the inclusion of the Akin amendment in the Republican Party platform, which bans abortion, even for rape victims. Such a turncoat; huh Vinnie and Andy? http://www.tampabay.com/opinion/columns/former-gov-charlie-crist-heres-why-im-backing-barack-obama/1247631 Yes, a Repub president could easily appoint the next Supreme Court Justice, and there goes Roe v. Wade and more
