Successful Holiday Season of Giving

The Portsmouth School District’s Caritas Fund is wrapping up an immensely successful Holiday Season of giving.

This holiday season, with the help of the organizations below, the Caritas Fund has been able to provide winter jackets to children, food for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday and an abundance of gifts to children in
the Portsmouth community.  This year we helped over 50 families and over 250 children.

The Caritas Fund provides financial assistance to the families in need in the Portsmouth community.  This fund was first established in 1990 and has provided families with an array of support, including helping to fund children’s after school activities, financial support, clothing and shoes as well as the items mentioned above.  This fund is solely supported by the generosity of donations from our community.

If you would like to make a donation to the Caritas Fund, checks can made out to “The Caritas Fund” and mailed to Linda Pendleton, 125 Jepson Lane, Portsmouth, RI 02871.

On behalf of the Caritas Committee and the families who received such overwhelming support this Holiday Season, we would like to thank the following organizations and
