Break free from the status quo and delve deep into a world of nightmares come true. Fortress of Nightmares is looking for you to   world of terror and panic. Every member of our all-volunteer staff helps construct the perfect nightmare. Everyone from our box-office to gatekeepers and zombies all sustain the nightmarish atmosphere from beginning to end.

Each year more than 150 volunteers join together to help make this event a success. Now in its eighth year, Fortress of Nightmares at Historic Fort Adams is actively seeking volunteers to fill various roles and positions. Those positions available range from box office sales staff, to   scare team members.

Fortress of Nightmares operates seven nights each October. This years dates are October12,13, 19,20, & 26-28. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 6pm and can expect to leave by approximately 10pm. By volunteering with Fortress of Nightmares, you are helping to preserve Historic Fort Adams, a National Historic Landmark as well as fulfilling any required community service hours.
