Two RI 4-H equestrian clubs, the Aquidneck Riders of Portsmouth and Team Riders of Richmond, are teaming up to spread holiday cheer through the streets of Common Fence Point on Sunday, December 9th starting around 1pm. The merry band of festively dressed carolers will include individual horse and riders as well as an 18-passenger wagon pulled by a team of Belgian draft horses.
We invite you to come out and join in the fun! Carolers will be accepting much needed donations of canned goods for the RI Food Bank. (Please keep pets inside for the safety of our riders.)
4-H is a youth development program that empowers its members to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults. The fundamental 4-H ideal of practical, “learn by doing” experiences encourages youth to experiment, innovate and think independently. Community Service and Citizenship are key components of the 4-H program. For more information about RI 4-H, go to www.uri.edu/4h.
