The Newport Food Truck Festival coming to the Newport Yachting Center on Saturday, Oct. 20, is just days away! 

Running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the festival will feature a variety of cuisines from over 20 trucks, plus a beer tent, sampling tables, children’s activities and live music!  Attendees are invited to purchase "taste tickets" to be used like currency at each of the trucks. Ten taste tickets for $13 and 20 for $25 are available for purchase in advance on www.foodtruckfestivalsofne.com and at the event. There is no additional admission fee.

Participating trucks include newcomer to the festival scene, Acacia Café of Little Compton. Owned and operated by Dawn Brooks-Rapp, the truck will be serving up soup and sandwiches with an international flavor, everything from a Vietnamese sandwich to Italian combinations and more, all ready to be topped off with a pumpkin bread or carrot cake dessert! Boston staple, Kickass Cupcakes also makes the line-up, serving up over 10 different cupcake varieties from a Cinna Punk vegan cupcake to the Machiatto, Berry Crumbly, and everything in between. Also heading to the Ocean State from their usual Greater Boston perch is the Lobsta Love truck which will be shelling out all things lobster – quesadillas, mac ‘n cheese, bisque, rolls, sliders and even lobster BLTs… plus a classic New England Clam Chowder!
